I have a craftex 15quot; bandsaw, a 14quot; lathe, and a drill press. I have had problems that stem from poor quality control, poor fit and poor finish on all of them. I have spent countless hours tuning the bandsaw, only to have it work well for about a week, then back to the drawing board. Mar 03, 2014#0183;#32;Those specs sound a lot more like an 8 x 30 than the Wholesale Tools, Grizzly, and Harbor Freight 6 x 26 machines more like the 4000 Grizzly G0731. They all do look alike unless you see them side by side like I did at the Grizzly showroom. The 8 x 30 machines are a quite a bit more machine than the 6 x 26 machines. I''d love to have one myself.

The research was actually pretty tough, as there is little online written about the machine. I thought, therefore, it might be helpful to future users to have a little written up about the machine.
The only Craftex items I have are the horizontal dry planer/jointer blade sharpener and the 9quot;/6x48quot; sander. I do have a pretty good idea of the quality of these and other units as I make my living repairing them. Both the units I have (and other Craftex items from what i have seen) are satisfactory considering the price they sell for.
